ROY Plaza Corporation humbly started in 1978 with a registry name "ROY Bargain Center", a single proprietorship business engaged in retailing dry goods at Dipolog City. Ten years later, they were able to own new property. On that property, they constructed a 4-story building along Rizal Avenue, Dipolog City, and gave the business a new name, "Roy Plaza".
ROY Plaza corporation was approved by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in the year 1996. In the year 1998, the corporation was able to acquire property in Valencia, Bukidnon. Moreover, the business continued to flourish, and started to engage in selling grocery items, and created a loyalty program for their customers. Despite the challenges, ROY Plaza continued to grow by God’s grace, together with hard work, patience, faith, and obedience to God. Out of the overflow of God’s blessings, the company started giving school supplies to different schools in Valencia City eight years ago.
ROY Plaza faced another challenge in March 2020 when the Philippines experienced a tremendous outbreak that affected the lives of Filipinos-- including businesses and other establishments.
